In 1996 EMI Australia released a compilation CD called "Glenn Shorrock The First 20 Years" which features music from Glenn's former days with LRB, as well as his early works with The Twilights, Axiom, and other Australian artists. Birtles was not happy when the others began discussions about John being a replacement for Glenn Shorrock.
He learnt what it was like to tour 'big' and what it takes to be at the top.
