It's not always going to be exactly the way you want it. Every song is really strong from the excellent “Devil” through to the last tracks “The human radio” and “Brilliant”, an album you can genuinely listen to over and over again as each track is so different. I don’t hate it but am not in love with it either. ATTENTION ATTENTION. If you are a fan of Shinedown I have no hesitation in recommending 'Attention' 'Attention' to all. After that I worked my way backwards to Leave a Whisper.

I know there has been some criticism for the direction that Shinedown went for this album or that some feel it's to radio friendly or produced for a younger generation. Along with Eclipse, Shindown are one of my favioute current bands, their last album 'Threat To Survival' I did sample but wrongly or rightly avoided for some reason (I might have to re-evaluate). Most of these songs are catchy, but they have the quality of barking the music and vocals at us, and there’s frequently effects on Smith’s vocals. Once I listened to 'Attention Atention' all I wanted to do was play it again, and again, which is always a good sign. "ATTENTION ATTENTION" might, just might be Shinedown's best ever album!
