Retrieve the application using the learner’s FTN. If you have followed the above steps and still do not have access, your best bet is to contact them.
Log in to IACRA as a Recommending Instructor using your FTN, username, and password.
They spend 2 years of training to get to look over paperwork that has spelling errors, missing names, incorrect birthdates, etc. In the next screen select “Recommending Instructor” and submit. Your student pilot certificate will become one of the documents you’ll need to keep with you whenever you are flying.

Had no idea that wasn't the terminal state? At the time the IACRA is completed, it also contains the instructor’s recommendation certifying that the pilot is ready for the test. Next, you’ll be asked if you’ve ever held an FAA certificate.
