The centre armrest does raise vertical (though mine didn't lock up), so the only comfortable way to sit is at 45 degrees.
I'm 5'7". New seating with reduced legroom is a major step backwards, limited legroom is a joke for tall people, not what would expect from BA, this needs to be urgently addressed. Cramped with passengers beside me. flight to and from Kos in their Business Class section was a most uncomfortable experience. However, the view from the seat was amazing.
