In the Devices section, click on the device you wish to reset. Localhost didn’t work.Sorry, that should be 127.0.0.1. This will open the Properties panel. Head back to your UniFi login screen, unter your username and your new password and you should be straight in!

I still don’t know for sure why this happened, my best guess would be that I’ve picked a password that did not pass Ubiquiti’s password complexity requirements and thus causing it to lock me out.
