Its flaws lie, unfortunately, in the largest part of any game - the gameplay. -1pt for little story, -1pt for not being able to jump, and -1pt for the home base area being a bit stark.
The sound effects in Crimson Tears are, unfortunately, just as repetitive as the gameplay.

More often than not, this will simply be because your characters haven't leveled up sufficiently or because you've run out of the items that you need to heal yourself. Fans of both genres will agree. If your character runs out of energy midlevel, you have the option to send a second character in on a rescue mission that has to reach this energy-deficient character within a time limit of a couple of minutes or so. The gameplay is much better than Bujingai.
Overall this is a must have for collectors though!
The hub area, unfortunately, isn't nearly as interactive or as expansive as it looks like it might be the first time you visit it, and the subquests you get from the non-player characters you talk to invariably amount to little more than brief trips to levels that you've beaten previously when in search of an item.
